SANCOCHO, POPULAR NATIVE DISH (SOUP)


1 5 lb. chicken
1 lb. corned pork
1 lb. otoe
1 lb. sweet potatoes
3 corn cobs
Onions, tomatoes and sweet peppers

1 lb. ņame
1 lb. corned brisket
1 lb. yuca
3 plantains
1 lb. ņampi
salt and pepper to taste
Boil the chicken, pork, brisket, tomatoes, onions, peppers, salt and pepper in 4 qts. of water for 1 1/2 hours.  Put in the otoes, sweet potatoes, corn and plantains and take them out when done, then put in the rest of the vegetables until everything is cooked.  Serve on soup plates and everything is eaten at the same time, and on the same plate.
