CHERRY PUDDING BAKED

3/4 Stick butter.  Melt butter in baking dish to be used.
Then sift:
1 1/2 cups Flour
1 1/2 cups Sugar
1 1/2 heaping teaspoons Baking Powder
Add to this 3/4 cup Milk and the melted butter

Put in Baking Dish.  Then add drained cherries from 1 1/2 tins of pitted cherries and 3/4 cup sugar.

Bring cherry juice to a boil and pour 1 1/2 cups over all in baking dish.  (If not enough juice add enough water to make the reuqired 1 1/2 cups of liquid.)

Bake 1 1/2 hours in a moderate oven.  Can be served with shipped cream or with ice cream.
