Proportions for 3 people.
3 large or 4 small eggs
1 1/2 squares Baker's unsweetened chocolate
1/4 teaspoon vanilla

Break the chocolate and put into saucepan to melt (put saucepan in another saucepan of boiling water over gas to melt chocolate.)  Be sure there are no lumps in the chocolate when melted.  Beat the yolks of eggs, add vanilla and pour slowly into the chocolate stirring all the time.  Beat the whites of eggs until very stiff and stir the chocolate mixture into the whites of eggs, slowly.

Pour into a dish or separate glasses and leave for 8 hours in refrigerator to set.  Can be served with cream if desired.
