CORN FLOUR A LA CREME

This is quite unlike corn flour as it is usualy served 1/2 tablespoonful of corn flour to 1/2 a pint of milk is the proportion; not a bit more corn flour is need or it will be too stiff.

Mix the corn flour to a paste with a little cold milk, bring the rest of the milk to a boil—then add the corn flour and boil it for 10 minutes stirring all the time.

Then lift pan off fire and stir for 20 minutes.  This is very important.  Sugar or flavoring to taste.
