OVALTINE BREAD AND BUTTER PUDDING

Thinly cut bread and butter
Brown sugar to taste
Two cups milk
Two eggs
1 tablespoonful Ovaltine
A few currants or raisins

Place the bread and butter in a baking dish, sprinkling the pieces with the brown sugar and the currants, beat up the eggs lightly, add 1 tablespoonful of cold milk and the Ovaltine.  Pour over the rest of the milk nearly boiling.  Pour this custard over the bread and butter and bake in a moderate oven for about half an hour, until set.
