250 grammes flour
2 eggs
Pinch of salt
1 teaspoon rum
1/2 teaspoon olive oil
3 decilitres water or milk

Mix flour with a little milk.  Add beaten eggs, rum, oil, and salt.  Stir well, adding the rest of the milk little by little—stirring all the time with a wooden spoon.  Let stand for 2 hours.  Heat a little butter in a frying pan, shaking occasionally.  When butter is hot put in a little of th epaste, moving pan until paste covers the bottom.  When set turn to other side.   When cooked turn out on a plate and sprinkle with sugar.  Can be served doubled over with jam inside.
