BLONDIES

Mix together:
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup sugar
2 egg yolks

1 1/2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
Salt

Spread thinly about 1/4" thick on flat pan, spread 1 cup chopped walnuts on this, make meringue of whites, beating stiff, add one cup brown sugar, spread on top of nuts.   Bake in slow oven for 15 minutes.

Cut in squares—very good.
