1/4 lb. chocolate powder or cocoa
2 1/2 oz. flour
2 eggs
1/4 lb. butter
1/4 lb. sugar
1 teaspoonful Baking Powder

Heat chocolate in oven.  Add it to flour and sugar.  Melt butter and mix it with the shole.  Whip whites and yolks of eggs separately.  Add yolks first and then whites.  Bake in moderate oven in well buttered tin.  The cake should be removed from oven s soon as it is cooked inside.  Over baking will make it too dry, and it should always be a little moist when cut into.
