1 small cup flour
3/4 cup sugar (White)
3 or 4 eggs
1 teaspoon baking powder
Pinch of salt
Several drops of vanilla essence
3 tablespoons boiling milk
Small piece of butter

Beat egg whites and yolks separately and together.  Add sugar slowly and beat again.   Then flour, well sifted and with baking powder and salt added to it.  Lastly stir in gently boiling milk in which butter has been added.  Cook 10-15 minutes in hot oven, in two well-greased sandwich tins.  When cold, spread whipped cream to which shredded pineapple has been added between the layers.  Cover the whole cake with shipped cream and decorate with slices of pineapple.  Strawberries or raspberries could be used instead of pineapple.
