TREACLE TART

Line a baking plate with puff paste made with:

1/2 lb. flour
2 oz. larg dripping
Little water
Pinch salt
2 oz. margarine

Put 2 tablespoonsful of treacle into a saucepan where an ounce of margarine has been dissolved, then add the egg well beaten, stir until it thickens, then pour into plate.  the puff paste should be baked before the mixture is added.   After adding, return to oven for a few minutes to set.
