TEA SCONES

Ingredients:

1 lb. self-raising flour
1 small tsp. salt
1 tbsp. butter

2 eggs
1 dessert spoon sugar
2 or 3 tbsp. cream

A little milk


Mix flour, butter, salt and sugar very well.  Then add eggs (drop them into the center unbeaten) cream and add a little milk to make a very soft dough.  Roll out the dough and cut out with a cutter. (Don't roll dough too thinly.)

Before putting into a quick oven mix a yolk of egg with a little milk and spread over each with a brush.
