SOUR CREAM CANDY

2 cups brown sugar
1/2 cup sour cream
1/4 tsp cream of tartar

Mix all thoroughly, cook in heavy sauce pan stirring often to keep from burning.   Cook until soft ball forms in water, take off fire and stir, adding 1 tsp vanilla and 1/2 cup chopped walnuts.  When creamy pour into buttered pan.  Mark off into squares.
