LITTLE SALT CAKES FOR COCKTAILS


1 lb. flour
1/2 lb. butter
1/2 oz. salt
A pinch baking powder
milk

Mix the flour and the butter on a pastry-board, make a hole, put in the salt and the baking powder and the milk, stir with a wooden spoon and knead.   Spread the dough with a rolling-pin until 1/2 cm. thick, cut into round pieces and put into a moderately hot oven on a greased and floured cookie sheet.
