ORANGE SOUP, FAMILY RECIPE


4 cups orange juice
3 teaspoons arrowroot
Sugar
Sherry

Heat orange juice (strained) and thicken with arrowroot, first made into smooth paste with cold water.  Stir constantly after arrowroot is added and cook till clear.  Add sugar to sweeten and after taking off burner, add a tablespoon sherry.

Serve very cold in custard glasses with crushed ice.
