CREOLE GUMBO

1 slice ham (1/2 lb.) cut small
1 medium onion
2 tablespoons Crisco
2 large tablespoons flour
1 large can tomatoes
2 dozen Okra
1 lb. fresh shrimps
pasley, thyme, salt, pepper to taste
1 can crabmeat
2 quarts boiling water

Brown ham in Crisco, add onions, then flour, then add shrimps, add crabmeat, add Okra, add tomatores, stir and cook slowly, then add boiling water, thyme, parsley, salt and pepper, slowly, then add boiling water, thyme, parsley, salt and pepper.  Cook on low fire 2 1/2 to 3 hours.  Serve with Rice.
