POULET A LA TURQUE

Cover a chicken with butter and put into a braising pan with 12 pieces of row bacon, carrots, onions, parsley, nutmeg, pepper and salt and cover it with a buttered paper.  Cook for 1 hour.  Then cook some rice, raisins and prunes in different pans.  Make a curry sauce and when chicken is cooked put on a long dish, pour curry sauce over it and put rice, raisins and prunes in separate groups.
