Have the ham cut about an inch and a half thick.   Place the slice in a pan about an inch deep, and cover the top surface with prepared mustard, then top with a quarter inch layer of brown sugar.

Heat the broiler to 450 F. and place the ham three inches from the heat.  Broil till the sugar melts, then add just enough liquid (pineapple juice, orange juice, or water) to keep the bottom of the pan wet.   Continue to broil till tender when tried with a fork.
