HAM AND SCALLOPED POTATOES

1 slice (thick) Ham
4 cups raw Potatoes
1 1/2 cups thin white Sauce
Salt and Pepper

Flour slice of ham lightly.  Fry each side until it begins to brown, then put into a baking dish, cover with the white sauce and bake in a moderate over, (350 F), for half an hour.  Turn and bake another half hour.  Cut pared potatoes into medium thick slices, boil ntil almost tender.  Arrange in the casserole, lay the slice of ham on top, bake 25 minutes

Serves 4 or 5 persons.
