Chili Con Queso

1 lb. cheddar cheese, grated
1 can (8 oz.) stewed tomatoes
2 tbsp. butter
1 medium onion, diced
1 can (4 oz.) diced green chilies

Saute onion and chiles in butter until tender.  Add tomatoes and heat, then add cheese and cook until melted.  Serve as a dip with Doritos, Fritos or other corn chips.
