Raisin Bread

7 c. flour
1 c. milk
1/4 lb. butter or margarine
1 yeast cake
2 eggs
1/2 c. sugar
2 tsp. salt
1 c. white raisins

Sift flour, salt and sugar into a bowl.  Warm milk in apot and let it cool to luckwarm.  Add yeast tomilk and let it dissolve.

Beat the eggs and add it to the flour mixture, also the butter or margarine, raisins and lastly the milk.  Knead the dough until it comes clean from the hands.  Let it rise until double in bulk.

When it rises, shape into 2 loaves and place them in greased pans.  Let it rise again in the pan until it fills the pan.  Egg may be beaten and brushed on the top.

Bake in a 350 oven for 45 minutes to 1 hour.
