Ambrosia Cookies


2 sticks margarine
1 c. granulated sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. pecans, chopped
1 pkg. coconut
rind of two lemons
1 pkg. figs
1 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 1/2 c. old fashioned oats
rind of two oranges
1 pkg. currants
1 pkg. dates

Cream together margarine, brown sugar, granulated sugar, eggs and vanilla.  Add flour, baking powder, soda, salt and oats.  Add remaining ingredients.  Drop by spoonfuls onto cookie sheet.

Bake at 375 for 15 minutes.
