Raisin Brown Betty


3 c. finely chopped sour apples
1 c. Sun Maid seedless raisins
1 Tbsp. butter
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
1 - 2 c. brown sugar
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1 c. soft bread crumbs

Butter a pudding dish.  Put in a layer of apples; cover with a layer of raisins and sprinkle with some of the sugar; add bits of butter and a little nutmeg and cinnamon, and repeat.

Finish with layer of crumbs; dot with butter and sprinkle with sugar.

Cover and bake at 400 for one hour.   Uncover and brown.
