Crunchy Date Rounds


1 c. butter
1/2 c. brown sugar
2 tsp vanilla
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. broken walnuts
3 c. Frosted Flakes
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 1/2 c. sifted flour
1 tsp salt
1 c. chopped dates

Cream sugar and butter--add eggs, vanilla and beat well.  Sift dry ingredients.   Add (gradually to butter).  Blend well.  Stir in nuts and dates.   Drop into frosted flakes-- coat well.  Place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet.  Top with 1/2 walnut.  Bake at 375 for 12 to 15 minutes.  Cool and remove.
