Zesty Cola Salad

2 pkg. cherry gelatin
1 can black cherries
1/2 to 1 c. pecans
1 can crushed pineapple
2 bottles cola (8 oz.) or 1 bottle (12 oz.)

Drain juice from cherries and pinapple.  Chill fruit and cola.  If juice does not measure 2 cups, finish with water.  Bring to a boil.  Dissolve gelatin in this, let set slightly and then combine the chilled cola and fruit with it.  Add nuts.  Cover and chill.  May be served as a dessert, topped with shipped cream.
