Lasagna

3 lb. ground beef
2 small cans tomato sauce
1/2 tsp. minced garlic
1 small can mushrooms, sliced

or pieces
1 onion diced
2 small cans tomato paste
2 cans (16 ox.) stewed tomatoes
2 tbsp. oregano
1 small can sliced black olives
salt and pepper to taste

Simmer above ingredients for one hour.

9 lasagna noodles, cooked
1 medium size pkg. cottage cheese (or Ricotta cheese)

Mozzarella cheese, grated (1-1 1/2 lb.)

In a 9x13 inch ovenproof dish, alternate layers as follows:  3 noodles, sauce, cottage cheese, Mozzarella.  End with sauce and cheese on the top.

Bake at 350 for 30-45 minutes.

This can be frozen either before or after baking and is great reheated.
