Mom's Barbecued Spareribs

3-4 lb. spareribs
1 onion, sliced
1/3 c. Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp. salt
2 c. water
1 lemon
1 c. catsup
1 tsp. chili powder
2 dashes Tabasco sauce

Brown ribs, put onion slices on top of ribs, then sprinkle with juice of lemon (or ReaLemon).  Cover with sauce made from the rest of the ingredients.  Simmer for several hours until meat is tender.  If sauce is too thick, add a little more water.
