The majority of these photos were
taken in San Miguel. The island only has about 500 inhabitants, most direct
descendants of slaves from pearl diving days -- good people, very friendly and helpful.
There is one restaurant, and several small stores. We went to the very
tip of the island ... Punto Coco. The police there said they have never seen any
tourist, nor heard of any tourist ever wanting to go there. They maintain an
airfield built in the 40's which is in very good condition.
