When the Yankees visited the Canal Zone, my Dad took me and my brother to see Joe DiMaggio in action.  I was a little squirt then in short pants and suspenders.  That afternoon, as I recall, he hit four over the center field fence.  One of the balls the kids are still looking for and another broke a window pane on the upper floor of BHS.   Until the Panama Canal Company fixed the pane, we little kids would point at it to our friends and say, "Joe DiMaggio hit a homer right through the window!"   Wow, that really takes me back ...
