The History Day Project
Report from Nathan - June 19 1999

A final report to all of you who provided such valuable assistance with my project... Even though I did not make the finals, this past week was one of the best of my life.  I know I did the best job I could.  I received "Superior" ratings from all 3 judges, and they were very impressed with the scope of my research.  One of them even wrote on the evaluation form that I had taught her a lot in my performance. Unfortunately, though, there was another performance from my room that was selected for the finals, but I was nominated for a special award in Oral History.

I hope to someday be able to visit Panama and travel through the Canal, so that I can appreciate even more this structure that is so important to the world.  I also hope to be able to participate in History Fair in the future as I enter High School.  My little brother will be doing it at least for the next two years as he is in 7th and 8th grades, so maybe he will have the wonderful experiences that I have had.
