Comments Merry Christmas all you Brats. Sure do miss the Christmas tree burns that we used to have. Our Los Rios gang had a great spot to hide our stash of trees in the jungle on Tank Hill. Ah, memories.

Sure miss being home and getting ready for the Christmas Parade down Espave Avenue in Margarita, Christmas Caroling, the live Nativity Scene at Margarita Union Church and the Tree Burn at the Womans Club. Oh, has anyone had a hankering for a "K of C hamburger"? Planning a family Christmas, will have three grandchildren celebrating their first Christmas, and my son's wedding on the 26th. Anyone have a good recipe for seviche and empanadas? Have a safe and great Holiday. God Bless you all. Con amor

Comments I was stationed at Howard AFB from Jan 81 - Jan 83. I had the time of my life in panama and looking back, did alot of silly things that 19 year olds would do without thinking of risk and danger. I have hundreds of photos. I dove the cliffs at the French Cut, swam across to the other side (talk about getting the willies wondering what lurked below) played in the spillways, fished in the canal, explored the jungle (with machete in hand) went to Taboga Island, Rio Mar and El Valle, took a UH-1N (Army) flight to the Atlantic side landing several times in the jungle (and there was no clearing to land until after we chopped through it with the rotor blades). I was in the Air Force and worked in "Electrical Power Production". I miss all of the people, military and civilian, that had become my family away from home. I still keep in touch with a few of the military buddies and two of the civilians that worked in the power plant with me. It was the experience of a lifetime and enjoy showing my kids all of my pictures and telling them all the crazy things I did.
