UPDATE:  The owner of the ring has been found!!  We will update with the story shortly.

The Brats received the following email and above pictures from Ken in Hawaii who found a class ring from a Canal Zone High School.  It is definitely from Cristobal High School.  It shows under the seal.   What do you think?
The engraved initials on the ring are R.R.H.

Lesley,

I'm pretty sure that the ring is from Cristobal High. I was having a hard time deciphering the school initials, but now have cleaned the ring of coral. I have included the scans you requested and you can look for yourself. I at first thought the first initial to be an "I" but now think it is a "C". The date looks more like a 29 but again, the text type is hard for me to grasp. Please take a look and let me know what you think. The ring is small and may have belonged to a lady. When found the ring was buried under several layers of sand and gravel at the bottom of a small bay. It was encrusted with marine growth. I guessed that it had been in the sea for about 25 to 35 years.

I recently returned another class ring that had been in the ocean for 30 years and looked about the same. That ring belonged to a man in Pennsylvania that had lost the ring 32 years ago in Vietnam, he had never been to Hawaii. A mystery as to how it got here.

Mahalo for your time and help,
Ken
