The Balboa High School Plaque

BHSPlaquea.bmp (162794 bytes)

This plaque was presented to Balboa High School as a class gift.  It was embedded in the floor at the main entryway to the high school.  It became the "instant" tradition that only seniors could gather around the plaque.  Any unknowning underclassman seen stepping on the plaque was presented with a can of Brasso and put to work polishing it.  It did stay shiny all the time!  The plaque was recently removed and will be shipped to Florida to become part of the permanent collection of the Panama Canal Museum Foundation.
