Texas Friends!

On Saturday June 21, 1997, Spike hosted a little get-together for friends that have met on the ZoneLink. Kathy Huntzinger took a mini-vacation from work and came to TX to visit her sister in Houston and brother in San Antonio ... Marilee and her husband Gary drove down from Austin, Dale and Betty Cockle came in from Burnet and I drove the least distance from Kerrville.

Spike cooked Sancocho and Patacones, Dale brought emu sausage from his Emu Ranch ... and a bottle of Ron Cortez!! It was like hanging out at your friends homes in the Canal Zone ... a feeling I haven't experienced since I left home 21 yrs. ago!! It was so nice to put faces to email friends!! Tomas called on the phone and joined in the fun as well!!

Thank you, Kat, for being the catalyst for this event! Heartfelt thanks to Spike and Wendy for opening their home and hearts!! It was a get- together that will warm my heart for a long time!!
